You can read the 8-step procedure that I use (with Paint.net) at...
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ed-silvam.html

and you can freely download my jersey templates at SimCentral here...
Files.SimCentral.NET - Out of the Park > Out of the Park 2007

and you can get my most recent templates at the thread called Recent Uniform Designs & New Templates (which feature some new shading concepts & two additional templates.

Be sure to read the entire thread of New Uniform Designs (Inspired by Silvam). Making jerseys is not only quite satisfying, but the results are also quite rewarding when you see your creations in the game!

Making the detailed layer templates took a lot of time & hard work, but, now that the first set has been completed, I can usually knock out a pretty nice uniform in just 30-40 minutes.

Try these things and post your results and I will be happy to assist your further.

We can help if you specify what graphic program you are using and what your experience is.

Deft has a template available on PadresFan's website. It's in PSD format. FaceGen 2

I use Paint Shop Pro X2 and I've made a template for myself using Deft's as a base with add-ons by Ambermonk and myself. If you are interested (or anyone else) I can email it. I also have a cap template (original from Deft) and a circular logo template. Just send me a PM with your email address and version of PSP. I can save this file in PSP9 format so that anybody with version 9+ can open it. I use a lot of vector images to make changes easy but this makes saving the file to another version of PSP or to Photoshop a problem. Most of the vector information is lost.

I've made uniform editing tutorials (for PSP) for NBA Live and Maximum Football. I've helped with a MVP Baseball 2005 tutorial. These can be useful to understand the basics. Photoshop users can learn from PSP and vice versa. (really, you can !)

There are different methods to making uniform templates. Deft uses masks, Ambermonk uses raster layers and I use vector layers. Actually I use all three types. The point is you you can learn different methods from other people and there is no right or wrong way. The end result is a PNG file any OOTP user can use.

Yeah, it really depends on what graphics program you use. The important thing is that you know how to use your graphics program. Then you can review what format the final logos/uniforms need to be in and figure out how to get there in a way that is easy for you. I use Paint Shop Pro 7, which is a rather old version but these images aren't all that complicated.
