BZ 1074: Some Language Options Don't Display Properly in Nation Editor
Version: 8.0.0.14
PC/MAC: Mac What were you doing? I was trying to edit the language/names for a nation What happened? Only 17 language/name groups were available, not all 40. I checked the ethnicities.txt file, that file looked like it should, it had 40 choices. Reproducible: Yes Problem occurs with other leagues? Yes Other info: Players created for the game have correct names (for example, players from South Africa have appropriate South African names, despite SA's nation edit screen having "English" as the only language option. Also, there is no "Hispanic" or "American" just "Spanish" and "English" |

I also see that behavior. This isn't an area that I normally delve into, however, so you'll have to help me through it. Where do you find the ethnicities.txt file?

Another note - it seems that where the appropriate language is missing (say, in Zimbabwe), English replaces it always. So lots of countries have English as their language, or even multiple languages, if they are missing more than one.
I am wondering if this is a Mac issue, because the choices I have in the game do not at all match with the options in the ethnicities.txt file. |

Definitely not just a Mac issue. I'm using Windows XP.
