Lost News Stories and No Longer Manager

I finished my first season and started into my second. I went through Spring Training and saved the game then quit. Now, I've gone back on and it has lost all my news stories since september previous season (although the dates are still listed) and I am no longer the manager of my team. I am running it on a PC. Any suggestions?

Were you playing in commish mode? Which version were you using, please?

Version 8.0.13? Did it happen to crash when you quit the game?

Just to verify, this is a solo league and not an on-line one? Is this a historical, fictional, or MLB roster set league?

This is a solo league and it is fictional. 12 ML team, 12 minor teams. Latest version. It has happened twice now.

Did the game crash when you were saving it, please? When you choose to save it, then quit, are you quitting using the Game -> Quit option, or are you hitting the X in the upper right corner of the screen?
