Long Running Historical League Needs a GM
The Real National Pastime is the revamped version of MTB, a long-running (1901-1936) league that recently went back to version 6.5 after spending one season in OOTP 7/8. Upon our return to 6.5, we changed the league a bit--moved forward in time, to 1947, the year Jackie Robinson and a handful of other African-American players integrated major league baseball. We're starting over from scratch, with most of the same GMs that made MTB such a great league for so long.
We need a GM for the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds have the fifth ranked minor league system, with 1B Ted Kluszewski and CF Clyde Vollmer in the pipeline. Johnny Vander Meer, Bucky Walters, and Ewell Blackwell lead what looks to be a strong major league staff. We'd like to fill this spot ASAP, so we can get started. We intend to run five sims a week, M-F, seven days per sim. As soon as we fill this spot and get confirmation from a couple more returning GMs, we'll be ready to roll! The site is here. If you're interested, drop me a line: Chris Kelsey chkelsey@comcast.net. |
