Repeated Personal Message
In a historical league I had a player whose time on the DFA had expired so arranged a trade which was accepted by the other team. Unfortunately, the trading deadline had passed so both players had to clear waivers. Since I could not wait for the waiver period to pass due to the player's DFA time being up, I "cleared offer" of the trade and released the player.
Now each and every day I get a personal message announcing that the waiver trade has been completed. Seeing as I am simming and want to see personal messages, this stops the sim every day. What can be done to fix this situation? |

Hrm. Never heard of that one before. Which version of the game are you using, please?

Huh. What happens if you try to re-sign the player?

OK....in light of the last question I have used a backup and come up with two following scenarios.
Scenario 1. 8/11 - Inititiated trade and released player per original post. 8/12-8/21 - Received daily message as per original post. 8/21 - resigned player as requested. No problem 8/22-8/26 - Received daily message as per original post. 8/27 - message stopped. Scenario 2. 8/11 - Same as above 8/12-8/26 - received daily message as per orignial post. 8/27 - message stopped I have the waiver period set for 7 days and the DFA period set for 10 days so these do not appear to be factors. |

This appears to be fixed in OOTP 9. Using the current beta testing build, I can confirm that releasing a player involved in a waiver trade merely cancels the trade and that only one message is given to that effect.
