Is it possible to hire coaches from another team?

For example Lets say I am playing as the pirates and I want to hire John Farrell (Boston Red Sox Pitching coach) as my manager. Am I able to do that or is my only option to pick a free agent manager?

No, you cannot hire a coach away from another organization in this game. You have to wait until someone gets let go. Of course if you want to be sneaky, you could temporarily take control of a team as commissioner and fire the guy that you want, but you would never do anything so underhanded, right?
