Schedule Request: 26 teams, two sub-leagues, 3 divisions

The breakdown is two sub-leagues, structured as follows:

League One (13 teams)
5 team division
4 team division
4 team division

League Two (13 teams)
5 team division
4 team division
4 team division

League start date is on or about 1 April, and there is no interleague play.

We were playing 120-game seasons prior to expanding by two teams this season. I realize that 120 games might not be mathematically possible, but something close to that would be nice.

Thanks in advance to any intrepid soul who tackles this one.

Just to make sure you understand, not having interleague with an odd number of teams per subleague means one team will be off during each series. Thus each week two teams in each subleague would play only 3-4 games and have off 3-4 straight days. You do want that?

Assuming so, are you looking for balanced (play all opponents basically the same number of times) or unbalanced (play division opponents more frequently than other league opponents)?

Gmo, thanks for taking the time to reply. As obvious as it seems now, I hadn't considered the implications of having odd numbered leagues and no interleague. I definitely don't want teams having that much downtime, so I guess interleague is definitely in!

As for balance, I'd prefer it if teams in the same division played one another more frequently.

thanks again for taking the time, I appreciate it a lot.

Now that I think of it (and I hope it's not too late), I think I'd prefer a balanced schedule. If I missed the boat on this one, that's OK too; beggars can't be choosers.

I think I have the numbers worked out for something, so I wanted to run them by you. It does not mean the result would be right around the corner, but with more unconventional setups the configuration can be a tough part.

Anyhoo, I am looking at 130 games per team:
10-11 per division opponent, and 9 per other league opponent
3 per interleague opponent with 6 interleague series per team)

That is essentially balanced, and I believe has the minimum number of interleague games without resorting to teams having half-weeks off.

Hopefully those numbers are okay for you, and hopefully I do not have to come back and say I calculated them incorrectly.

Also, do you want an ASG? If so, how does roughly 80 games into the season sound?

Hey there gmo-

That sounds tremendous! I would indeed like an ASG, later in the season rather than sooner, so 80 games in sounds perfect.

Thank you sir.

Grrr, indeed I was wrong. But fortunately not too far off.

I was counting out twice as many interleague series as needed. So revising that it is turning into 124 games per team with 12 of them being interleague (3 four-game sets rather than 6 three-game sets).

Sorry, but I had to make a fix to the schedule file. The file was set in the heading to start on Sunday (1 value for start_day_of_week when it should have been 2). That change can be easily made manually if the file was downloaded previously, and the current attachment is fixed.
