AI signed a free agent for me....
Hey fellas,
Under Manager Options, I've set "Transactions (Signing, Releasing Players etc) to my human manager; however, "someone" on my team just signed a free agent to a contract (4yrs/36MIL). Was there a setting I missed? I want to make sure I am solely in charge of those types of transactions. |

Are you in Commissioner mode, and only 'acting as' your team? If so, you need to get hired- go to Manager menu --> Available jobs.

Yes, I was in Commish mode... I just took the GM job of that team, so i should now have transaction rights? I thought that's what assigning the human manager to the team was for?

'Act as' is for temporary control only, if you want to release a player, say, or make a quick roster change. You don't have GM control of the team; if you advance a day, the computer GM will still make whatever moves it wants. You need to be hired as a GM to have complete control, and as long as your Manager options are set properly (from your earlier post, they are), then you won't see any more mysterious transactions.
