Announcing Soxx World of Baseball. a 2008 league played in real time. We start on opening day, play a game a day. This is a one season league, we will NOT continue with fictional ammies, but start anew each year with the current roster set. We will use Cubbys 2008 roster set with real world rosters to opening day. I apologize to those of you that signed up for this league last year, but we never got a roster set. I am in process of redoing my site with the addition of the PHPBB3 upgrade so will have to ask all to reregister in the forum. League reports are now up. Forums are also up.

We will be using all league options, cept the ammie draft. I welcome suggestions on team cash to start. Am thinking of a max cash of $50-,000,000. Our main communication should be the live chat room, specially for making deals in real time.

This league, played out in real time, will allow us to enjoy the full game and all its options. I am thinking of a new idea in online leagues, as long as we're playing in real time, lets use real life injuries, so that we can truly pit ourselves against real life gm's and managers. I wil edit injuries daily after real life games and our games are played. We'll only play with these injuries as I will also edit out in game injuries.

I think this is a fantastic idea, but am committed to another league. I'm very interested to see how you manage daily sims. Sounds like a huge amount of time required.

Looks like there is no interest in this league, so I will be convverting to a 2008 real time dynasty, owning the Red Sox. I will be using soxxcountry.com site for any who may wish to follow it. Currently waiting to see if Cubby will update rosters to near opening day. I will be playing out all Sox games and if any wish, "broadcasting" them using Yugma as "games of the day". There will be no need to register on Yugma, I will be uploading the GOD's for viewing at your convenience. I will be only make "reasonable" trades, never forcing any.

To those of you that did sign up, I am sorry we got so little response.

As a silent observer, I would guess the reason it never got off the ground was simply the "one season" and done philosophy. I'm sure many would have been intrigued/interested about the daily sim, but where's the incentive if you end up with a team that's not very good. There's no point in building anything for the future (spects, picks, etc.) if you know come season end your team is "erased" anyway.

Why were you going to handle it that way anyway? Just curious, not critical.

Primary reason was lack of desire for fictional players.
