I want my scroll bars!

Has anyone ever figured out how to make the game give draft lists, etc. using scroll bars rather than by page? As best as I can tell, the "Preferences" drop down lets you choose, but then long lists come up by page regardless.

This drives me absolutely nuts! How can you scout hundreds of players, looking at 10 at a time?

I understand the issue -- computer performance takes a severe hit when dealing with a long list of players, but that is easily worked around... just get all your info for all the hundreds of players on the screen once, and then click Report==>Write report to disk. But that is unwieldy at best, going 10 players at a time.

Um, I changed the setting in "OOTP Preferences" and now I have long long lists with scroll bars.

changing the Preferences setting will only show scroll bars for results that show less than 1000 players (I think that is the limit). Anything over that, and the game is hard coded to use pages. I share the OPs frustration in the matter and have suggested they change this numerous times for the next version

I know exactly what you're saying, Beorn, because I'm having the same frustration in, I suspect, the same league. Really annoying. A 20-team inaugural draft, scouting 10 players at a time? Yuck.

Thanks for the info about the 1,000 player cutoff.

I only wish that, at the very least, though, the scroll bars would return if you use the filter to get below 1000 players... but no go.

Good luck with the Raniers, Ifspuds.

Ah.
I wondered why the setting didn't work all the time.
I too hate the "page" annoyance on long lists.

I guess my previous post was a little bit stupid, then. Sorry.

Man, 1000 players? That's some serious baseball.

I, too, would love the scroll bar option to just give me scroll bars. I would hope dual core processors and several gigs of RAM can handle it.
