Returning to the best game ever

Please forgive me, I just cant seem to find the information I need in all the various posts. I havent played in 6.5, and would love to get back. Im excited about buying OOTP 8 but I have one question. I would like to use a roster pack getting ready for the 2008 season. It seems Cubbie's pack might be updated as of last year... Am I missing where to go or is a pack being working on and should be ready soon. I need Johan Santana on the Mets before I start!

Ok so now I have the rosters and such, when I cut and pasted into my league.. it failed to load up. Obviously Im pretty clueless, please help

If you downloaded the rosters set, it needs to be unzipped and make sure it ends in .lg (as in, MLB.lg). Then move it into your Sports Interactive > OOTP Baseball > Data > saved_games folder.

So Im in the league! fantastic... now I just pick the team I want correct? set myself up as manager?
