Help, missing players

I just noticed a bunch of players are missing from some teams minor leagues. They just completely vanished, without a trace. Then when I went to look at an older copy of the league I noticed these same players that are gone are there, but they are all there about 3 or 4 times. I can go back about a third of the season and everything is normal. Any clue what the hell is going on? This is a pretty major problem for my online league. We are in the playoffs right now and one of the teams this is happening to is in the WS if that means anything...

They are missing while in the WS, there were about 3 or 4 of each player while in the divisional series, and they were all there during the regular season.

Has anyone seen this before?

Have you used the PE2 to edit some stats? I saw this issue once after doing that. To fix it, I turned off financials, released the player, then resigned him to the team and edited the newly resigned players contract to what it was before... then turn financials back on and all should be fixed.

Yes I have... I suppose there is no way to get the players back that are missing? I could use the old files to do what you said, but then we'd be 2 games into the divisional series instead of 3 games into the WS...

Have you tried searching for them by name (League Setup Screen)? Maybe the game still thinks they are in there somewhere?

Yeah I have, they are completely gone. Is there maybe some sort of undelete utility where they could possibly be found?

Not sure. But you could recreate the players... if they had stats you would have to then use PE2 (make sure you have the latest version PE2b?) to add the stats back in; if the problem comes back use the steps above to correct it.

Cool, thanks for the help. I think the re-create the players is the best option.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
