Super Bowl
New England versus New York because the Fans in New York will be happy and it would be like the Red Sox's versus the Yankees. Giants would win so it would be two wins in the row for the Manning family.
It would have been good for a Payton versus Elie or Jags versus Bucs Super Bowl.

If the Giants can go up to GB and get a win, who knows. Kudos to them fir a tough hard fought victory today.

It will be funny if Peyton is at Lambeau next week watching Eli play. Actually, it will be surreal.

I am proud of these Giants, though. They are showing discipline, poise, and heart that I did not know they had until recent weeks. |

Pats and Packers would be a good one. That's what I'm aiming for.

If the Giants win next week and make it to the Super Bowl, then this will be looked upon as a stroke of genius. I don't totally agree with that, although I do think the Giants came out of that game with more pride and determination than ever.

I hope the Giants beat the Pats and ruin their shot at 19-0. Plus, it would be nice to see back-to-back Manning Super Bowl victories. I'm sure many fans thought it was possible for a Manning to be in the Super Bowl, but not this Manning.

I'm a bit split, I hate the Pats and hate the idea of them going undefeated and yet I am tired of the 72 Dolphins and would like to see their comeuppance.
SO, I just dont care.

This is the worst of all possible Super Bowl matchups for me.
I don't want 72 to go down, but I hate that punk ass Eli.

Why? He's a heck of a QB. He's a classic pocket passer, has the size, has all the tools, makes good reads, has good touch on his throws, moves around well in the pocket and he makes quick drops. What's not to like?

Agreed. He's so laid back that he takes heat for it. Not sure of the "punk ass" talk.

Jestor, I don't mean to dump on you especially after that super fine thread on the OOTP 2007/8 discussion board, but how do you come to hate Eli Manning, let alone call him a "punk ass"? How is it, when it comes to sports at least but certainly not confined to sports, that people can suddenly "hate" something or somebody? Manning, besides being a mediocre quarterback until recently, has been criticized for being bland, unemotional, passive. What's to hate?

![]() Sorry 1998Yankees, you are now my sworn enemy again sooner than expected! ![]() Seriously though, The Giants are on a roll, no question, but I like the Pats passing game (and now running game) in a comfortable Arizona stadium. Of course, a lot of people saidthat about the Rams in 2001.....
