Saved Game Will Not Load

Hi there. Playing OOTP8. So I simmed a total of 65 years with a universe in several chunks, eventually stopped the sim, and went to check the leader boards. The game froze, and had to be quit from the task manager. Reloaded OOTP, tried to load the 65 year universe, and it freezes every time it gets to "Finalizing 100%." I can open and play other universes, but the 65 year world just will not load. In fact, in the load screen, not even the "rename" or "delete" options show up.

So, am I out of luck, or is there some way to get back into this universe I spent so long simming and following?

Is the faces.dat file empty in your .lg folder? Or any of the .dat files?

Opening the faces.dat file in notepad shows me LOTS of stuff that looks like this:

Yeah, probably. I just wanted to know whether the size of the file was 0 KB. How about the rest of them?

All the .dat files have a non-zero memory. So no blanks there.

Hrm. That's not so great. Could you try disabling FaceGen from the OOTP Preferences, then trying to load it? Admittedly, it's a long shot.
