OOTP 8 already better than OOTP 2007?

I will buy OOTP 8 sooner or later.

But after reading a lot about problems here and problems there, I have the impression it's not yet as stable and running smoothly as OOTP 2007?

Could the "OOTP 8 bugs" even destroy my current OOTP 2007 game?

Any experiences?

Not played the game as much as some people, but I've certainly seen nothing really bad.

I haven't had any problems with my solo league's or my online league everything is working fine

No problems whatever.
Works fine with my O/L leagues which still run under OOTP7.

I haven't had any problems with OOTP8 that I did not also have with OOTP 2007. Specifically, I refer to the problem of faces.dat becoming corrupted from time to time. This problem is present in both versions and is the only problem I've seen.

It runs slower on my older pc than OOTP7 did, that's the only thing I've noticed.

The current quickstart that ships with OOTP8 has a lot of issues, but IMO OOTP8 itself is slightly better than OOTP 2007.

Thanks for your answers ... I guess the negative stuff I read was about the quickstart in OOTP 8.

But great to hear my current dynasty should work well with the new game

I carried on 2 solo leagues from OOTPBM2007 and also started a new Cuban league project, all with no problems at all. [Haven't tried to use the MLB quickstart.]
