Game purchased but won't start on my MAC
Sorry if this answer was posted somewhere but I just purchased the game for the MAC and when I click to load the game it goes through the motions then closes.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. BB

Anyone? I have tried deleting the files and installing them somewhere else and it still won't start. The splash screen comes up then crash. I am at my wits end trying to figure this out. I know there are some issues with the mac version but I have a new MacBook. It is 2.16 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo. Over 1 gig hard drive.
Thanks for any help. BB

I had the same problem with my first install. Then I reinstalled using the default directory and it seems to be working now. Sort of a bummer though, because its my preference to put the thing on my secondary hard drive, which is way, way faster.

I'm not sure why it would happen if you only change the default directory. I was able to install on my Mac fine (I didn't change the default directory however). The only funky thing that I can think of is the installer. It is different than any Mac installer I've ever used and it takes forever. I would say to give it another go and let us know. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I wonder if there's something in the way the application installs that prevents you from running it off of an external drive. Did you try changing the default location, but keeping it on the same drive to see if that works?

For me I just tried to install it on the directory that it already was on. I didn't change anything.
So I ask the question should I send it right to the application directory? or somewhere else. Also, I am going to delete all the files, if I re-download do I have to pay again? Thanks for the help. BB

I ran into this problem and nobody was ever able to help me. In the end, I was able to install and run the game after my upgrade (using a full, clean install) to Leopard.
I wish I had better news for you.

I had 2007 but I had it on my PC. I switched over to the mac and purchased it for the mac. Now, I guess, I may have to go back to the PC. I don't know at this point.

Yes, I did. I had to upgrade to the next operating system (leopard) for it to work. I was going to upgrade anyway and after I did, I gave it another try and it worked.
Now if I could play the game without having to be connected to the internet.... I'm going to upgrade my pc version too so I can play at anytime. Thanks for checking. BB
