Exclamation Again: OOTP 8 patch released! New version # is 8.0.0.13

Folks, unfortunately I messed something up so that the coaches/scouts get screwed when you load a game in OOTP 8. Sorry for the hassle

The new exe file is available here: http://ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ootp8013.zip

Unzip the exe into the OOTP program directory and replace the old ootp8.exe file. The version number is now 8.0.0.13.

The patch will automatically fix existing leagues once you load them again.

In the latest patch we've also made several changes to the Major League files and to the skin "ootp8 blue". If you use on of these, it would be a good idea to download the complete setup file and install it just over your current installation. Your saved_games folder will not be touched so your leagues are save.

Hi Markus

The minor league manager AI, went set to AI control minor league transactions, doesn't seem to be working like it did in 07. Is this a bug or am I forgetting to set something up?

And following on the ootp8 release thread, this is just a patch for OOTP8 and thus nobody has any need to complain that there's a patch for OOTP8 and therefore logically must be one for OOTP2007 that doesn't involve spending $6.99 to get.

You know, it's funny. I store all of my games and patches in a very orderly fashion, along with installation notes, etc.

The OOTP 8 folder made me a bit uncomfortable that there was no patch, like something was missing. I had to leave myself a note about there being no patch.

Now there is a patch! I feel much better.

Thanks. This is going to be such a wonderful day! All because of a little patch.

(And we didn't have to wait five months for it, either.)

Should the version number at the bottom when I open the game up read : 8.0.0.10? or 8.0.10?

I'm getting 8.0.0.10? Is this a problem?

According to my install, the version number is now 8.0.0.10, not 8.0.10.

You're all good. 8.0.0.10 is what you should have. All the decimals confuse even Markus sometimes.

So when can we expect v8.0.0.10.0.192.168.0.1?

Actually it was me who wrote that in Markus' post
In OOTP9 we will get rid of the third number and only use 3 of them: major, minor and build.

Next patch 8.0.10 created a team logo for deleted teams which sometimes needed so much time that it looked as if the game doesn't work.

The new exe file is available here: http://ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ootp8011.zip

Unzip the exe into the OOTP program directory and replace the old ootp8.exe file. The version number is now 8.0.11
