The CDL is celebrating it's 50th year!

- League name: The CDL (Cooperstown Diamonds Legends)
- League URL: http://www.cooperstowndiamondlegends.com
- League type: Initially historical, now mostly fictional.
- Special league rules: $75 mil payroll cap (enforced by OOTP), trading of rounds 1-3 picks allowed, team cash cap and profit sharing (enforced by OOTP), special new ownership introduction reset of below average team market & fan loyalty, abbreviated draft lottery system for top 3 picks, fast off seasons and sim schedule allow for quick rebuilds of team.
- Number of teams: 28
- OOTP version: OOTP 2007

The Cooperstown Diamonds Legends is currently celebrating it's 54th season of exciting OOTP brand fake baseball, and with a new season coming up shortly this is a terrific opportunity to get into one of the most long running and established OOTP on-line leagues out there.

Here is some info about the CDL:
- Simple league rule instructions makes getting up to speed easy. Rules like a $75 mil team payroll cap enforced by the game, team cash caps and profit sharing (also administered by the game), rounds 1-3 draft pick trading, and special new owner introduction rules (resetting new owner team market and fan loyalty to AVG if they are below that mark).
- Friendly and mature ownership group, average age is over 30.
- Consistent sim schedule - we have not missed a sim in 6 years (real time)!
- League began as a historical league, but at this point (current CDL year: 2022) we are basically a fictional league, though many of the top 200 current MLB rookies like Daric Barton are still in the league.
- Casual & helpful atmosphere, if you don't have access to OOTP for awhile due to trips or other real life events the league office will be happy to process any instructions via email.
- Fast off-season and sim schedule allow you to reach rebuild strategy goals quickly.

CDL History:
- One of the oldest active OOTP on-line leagues, the league began in early 2001.
- The league has used OOTP3, OOTP4, OOTP5, OOTP6, OOTP6.5, and now OOTP 2007.

Hands down the best on-line league for OOTP. Nothing else to say about it. You have to check out the CDL. I don't care what other league you're in right now, get in this one.

If you are looking for a league where:

-commissioners constantly make excuses about late sims
-constant turnover of owners
-at least one open team at all times
-nobody responds to trade messages
-silly gimics make the league more work then fun just to be competitive
AND
-immature owners engage in bashing each other senseless on the message boards and via email

This is NOT the league for you. This has been one of the more consistently run leagues I've been a part of, and one that I can see myself staying with until the end. Rarely are there any openings in this league and unless you want a league that has the qualities above, please consider joining the CDL. Great league! Great commissioners! Great owners!
