Fix for the FaceGen "Black triangle" problem!

Hi everyone,

Some people have experienced a problem with FaceGen that we haven't been able to fix, where black triangles appear on the player faces. This problem was pretty much exclusive to integrated video chips.

We believe we have fixed this problem, so we'd love for people to try this out. You can download the fix here (PC only!):

Unlike the other beta patches, this is just a replacement for the ootp2007.exe file. Just overwrite your ootp2007.exe with this file, and give it a whirl.

Of course, all of the standard beta caveats apply. Please back up your work, etc.

If possible, EVERYONE should try this, because of course we want to know if it messes up FaceGen for the people who DIDN'T have the problem.

Battists, I can't download this patch. I was able to download the previous patch with no problem. Now it tells me I have improper password. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The same user name and password should work - in fact I've just downloaded the update and it looks fine at the moment.

I never had black triangles before and facegen still seems to be running fine.

Is there a facegen viewer program available. It's fairly easy to extract the face gen file format from faces.dat but with the demo of FG you have to load them up one at a time and that's a pain. A viewer of a directory of them would make it so much easier.

It should be the user name and password for the OOTP board...correct?

So, Cameron, here's the important part: did you have the black triangle before?

(If so, you'd be the first confirmation that it's fixed, which would be cool!)

I did have the black triangle before. It is now fixed and working great!!
