Fictional OOTP6.5 league seeks 2

I'm a long-standing commish (four real life years- since ootp4) looking for a few owners for my OOTP6.5 fictional league. Everyone who's been in my leagues knows that I run a very tight ship-- I sim like clockwork, and if I'm about to miss something, you know ahead of time. The league is tough- rebuilds fail, contending teams falter, surprise teams can win. Finally, I've set up the rules for FA to be vibrant, and for the league to be damn competitive.

I feel CPL is unique for a few reasons:

1. People regularly write good articles. In addition, I've started providing summaries of every sim- the major moves, injuries, and happenings.

2. We are a fictional league, but I simmed over 100 years of history. That means we have meaningful historical comparisons, great arguements about the HOF, etc. despite only having been in existence for 8 seasons.

3. We sim a small number of games, but we sim every weekday. You don't have to stay on top of your team every single day of the week, but if you're a control freak, you can.

4. We have a fixed finances system. You make 70 million bucks a year, no matter what. You can only spend 70 million bucks a year, no matter what. And you can't accumulate any cash.

5. You can only resign guys who want to resign with your team. Combined with 4 above, this means that it's really hard to have a dynasty, and it's comparatively easy to rebuild, because FA is vibrant. It also means no one really tanks. This itself is highly unusual for a veteran league.

6. I don't own a team to be able to spend more time on the league. Should there be vacant teams though, I take over, so there's no 'dead' teams floating around.

I have a very quick boot for owners that I see as being lazy or bad, and as a result, the current owners are all top notch. But it also means I tend to have more openings than other leagues do. If interested, please send your email addy, AIM name, and team preference to sh.misra@gmail.com. We'll be starting the offseason in about a week.

Open Teams: Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox ... both are well on their way to being rebuilt. I simply take the team that no one wants, and would prefer not to own a team at all.

CPL is a tough but fun league to be in. Dougie knows how the game works at a level that most casual players don't, and is thus able to set the league up for maximum competitiveness. Standard tanking & prospect hoarding strategies are more difficult to pull off given how saavy the other owners are, and there haven't been any real 'dynasties' thus far. I've been running the Washington club since inception, and I've found the league extremely competitive each and every season. And the atmosphere is quite cordial, which I know from experience isn't always the case in on-line communities.

If you want to find out how well you measure up against experienced OOTP players, then this is a league you should check out.

I need an owner for either the A's or the White Sox (who have an excellent farm system)- I'll take the team no one wants...
