Way to Start League Over?
Hello All,
I have run 5 years on a fictional league. I have spent time customizing uniforms, logo's, etc. but I am unhappy with some of the settings I have run the league with (I used 1977's stats generation... I have decided I want to run it now with 'modern-day' stats). I know I could just switch the generation 'methodology' to 2007, but this would leave the first 5 years of the league looking odd. So, I would like to start the league over (with new players) but keep the structure, the team names, the uniforms, etc. Can I do this? I thought about saving it as a template, but I think this saves all of the stats data as well. Is there some way I can just save the framework of the league? Thanks! |

You can erase all stats and histories and such in the game setup menu somewhere. Delete all of the players, all of the histories, etc. Someone else can come along and give you exact details, it takes too long for me to get OOTP up and running to bother.

I believe saving it as a template does NOT save the stats. As for Kelric's solution, there are options in Game Setup - League Setup where you can clear out the league's history and all player stats. I've tried this myself and it works pretty well except for the fact that I was never able to figure out how to clear out some of the details in player histories like leaderboard appearances on the HTML output. I think you'd have to manually clear out some of the player news, too.
