- League type (historical, fictional, etc): fictional, set on a ficticious island in a universe where every country has equal playing ability. all players have names generated from the RIBC name database, which is quite rude. the RIBC also features very rude injuries.

- Special league rules: owners must appreciate X/R-rated humor.

financial system in place. 0% inflation. no salary/cash caps of any kind. finances are set to where no player is paid a million dollars (RF log pilo makes $750K right now as the highest-paid).

all ballparks are 15,000 capacity. teams average about 5,000 attendance, with ticket prices near $4.50.

stats model is based upon the golden era of MLB from 1969-1990 - no one hitting 50+ homers, with a good mix of strikeouts, homers and steals.

Emphasis is on historical consistency and stability. no teams are allowed to relocate. no tinkering with the stats. a home run in 1812 is just as likely as a home run in 2012. hundreds of years were run in sample leagues to find the 'sweet spot', statistically-speaking.

- Number of teams: 12 in RIBC (majors), with three levels of minor leagues: AAA-English Premiership League (EPL); AA-Association of Indian Baseball (AIB); A-African Baseball Congress (ABC); plus a 12-team college feeder league and a 12-team feeder high school league.

there are no 'divisions'. if you win the most games, then you win, period. no playoffs.

this is the first season for the RIBC. we move along slowly, averaging a game a day (one game is run per day except for saturday, and another day is run if there is an off day).

the available team is the Isle of Man Whores. the are doing very well so far, and are in the thick of the pennant race. the whores are 3rd in payroll and 3rd in budget. they feature SP coondog brisco, who could win the pitcher of the year award. he just re-upped for four years at a bargain rate, too.

the kicker? the minor leagues are a shambles for IoM right now. other than 17-year old phenom kick moseno, there is slim pickings. the Sussex Changlings in the EPL are just under .500. the Bombay Doors in the AIB are just under .500. the Liberia Books are stinking up the ABC.

update:

the whores lose for the 5th-straight game to fall seven games behind the birdmen. they are still in second place, but just barely. they were swept in the most crucial of series at alcatraz.

a six-game homestand is next, followed by three at stinky shag rocks. more good news? pakistani LF blind pavlin http://rudeisland.allsimbaseball3.co...layer_391.html is back. the 2nd-highest salaried player in the league has been out for the past five weeks with a dirty uniform. the replacement wasn't too bad, but he was not pavlin. 1B baio strom http://rudeisland.allsimbaseball3.co...layer_383.html has been keeping the team in contention all by himself.

this team needs some love!

happy birthday, kick mosena!

most likely the best player in the RIBC, isle of man's center field wunderkind just turned 18 on june 14. he made the team out of camp and hit .352 in april. after a .127 may, he has found himself playing for the sussex changlings in the English Premiership League. he is absolutely raking there, of course. the other CFs of the franchise have all been blowing it, so mosena might be back in the bigs shortly. a dude with 28 hits in the big leagues before turning 18 years old?! say it ain't so. off the top of my head, i don't think there is another player under 20 in the big leagues right now.

if you are rude enough, IoM is still available.
