Database Rosters are from where in the season?

I have both Lahman's & Gambo's databases. I've grown to like Gambo's a bit more, but I'm curious about something.

When you load a particular year, what rosters are you loading? Opening day or closing day? I'd assume opening day, but I don't want to assume...

I just started a 1977 league, the year Dave Kingman played on 4 different teams, and he imported as a Met, which was the first team he played for. So it appears as though it is the opening day rosters. I never really thought about that before

Opening Day...in the database it the team lines are sorted by 1,2,3 etc... it always takes team 1. So as long as the DB has it right the game will too.
