Owners needed for 70s/80s historical league

TLOUA (The League Of Unrestricted Awesomeness) has openings.

Seven teams are open including last year's AL champs.

This is a 70s/80s historical league. Really good owners (the ones than stuck around, with lots of fun banter and baseball knowledgeable people. Plus you get updates on who is doing your mom. Many of the owners of this league have been doing the sim thing together for 7 or 8 years, and formed this league for this historical side.

We use OOTP 2006 still, will probably move to 2007 next season (Septemberish?). You do need to own the game to play.

We just finished historical 1975 and are ready to do our first season flip over. You can still participate in free agency and all that stuff.

A couple caveats, we don't take just anyone. We have a rep, yo! There is a light screening process to make sure you aren't an idiot or just someone that generally annoys the crap out of us.

There is also a $20 a year fee, to keep out the riff-raff; you know high school kids, deadbeat 3 week owners, people who like the Cubs.

We use these fees to pay winners (they get to make a non-profit donation, or sponsor a player on baseball-reference.com), as well as supporting the website, etc. If you aren't comfortable with the fee, then keep going. Yes, we are serious about it.Yes, we know it means we get far fewer people interested. We just like people who have jobs and are willing to commit a small token to say they are really interested.
