OOTP 2007 Question

I'm trying out the demo of OOTP 2007 and virtually every pitcher throws the 'splitter', 1982 season, and none of the knuckleball pitchers throw knuckleballs.

1) Does this version of the game allow for editing the pitches that a pitcher actually throws? If so, how? I can't find it.
2) Does the game take the pitches a pitcher throws into account in terms of longevity? Pre-steroids era, it was almost exclusively knuckleball pitchers who had extended careers (past mid-30s). I could get Charlie Hough for a song, but at 34 how much longer will he likely last as a non-knuckleball pitcher?

Thanks

If you go into Commissioner mode you can edit just about anything.

Do I need to save 1st?

BTW, this seems to be an improvement on OOTP 2006 which I did not end up buying. I think I will this version.

Will the demo allow commissioner mode? Can't seem to find it.

Not really..editing is very easy to do and almost impossible to screw up.

So, what about the demo allowing commissioner mode? If so, where?

If it's there, it'd be under Manager on the top toolbar, then Options and look through there for Commisioner mode and check it.

I don't believe that type of pitch thrown has any bearing on the player's career.

IRL or just the game?

IRL, i don't know how you can say that. What % of knuckleball picthers, prior to '93 (my belief as to the start of the 'roids era) pitched past their 35th birthday versus the % of the rest of the league? Guys like Ryan and Seaver were the exception. Niekro, Niekro, Wilhelm, Wood, Hough? I'd go to Ranger games and watch Charlie smoking a cigarette in the dugout while his team was batting. That pitch allowed his career to extend much further than it ever would have without it. Same is true with all of the knucklers.

Other question though. In the demo during game play, there is nothing in the scoring line. It's just black. It has the inning headers and what inning it is, but no linescore. Is that fixed in the full version?

Ok, another issue now. The pitchers info box during game play has disappeared. It came back during one game but then was not there when playing additional games. Now on a fresh boot and load it is gone again. How does one fix this?
