I updated Rolens (you the man Rolen. Good work!) rosters including:
* ALL post winter meetings transactions up until 5/15/2002 * accurate 25 man rosters, and #'s (including creating missing players) * fixed some minor mistakes/omissions * tweaked a few ratings * accurate starting lineups/rotations for about 5 teams (got way too painstaking considering I sim for years and control only one team) Check the read me for instructions. These rosters aren't geforce/rolen but they are THE most accurate transaction-wise available. Hope you like them. Get them at www.baseballsimcentral.com [ 05-20-2002, 08:41 PM: Message edited by: ghostface ] |

This is a very easy mistake to make. My name is Ghostface. Thank you for downloading them. However, evidently you got the wrong set.
Anyways, for others considering dl'n them, wait about a day until the update is posted. I just uploaded them. Now I'm waiting for them to be posted. They should show a post date of 5/18 and not 5/17. The update makes the hectic steps above merely an option and not a requirement. I still recommend that you dl Alinken's real MLB park pack. Finally, yes these rosters are accurate, very accurate. Enjoy! [ 05-18-2002, 04:07 AM: Message edited by: ghostface ] |

I'm looking to d/l an update to Rolen's roster set BUT I'm wondering which one is more accurate Ghostface or grismosw's? I see Ghostface is the most updated one but grismosw's says it has fairly accurate salaries and splits. Is Ghostface's an update to grismosw's or are they both separate projects?
Thanks in advance... |

Mine are only Rolens updated. I would have loved to have started w/ grimosw's as my base due to the info he added but unfortunately I was already half done byt the time his were posted. I would say my rosters are rolens with all the players on the proper teams and true 25-man (w/ 40-man player #'s). Grimosw are less accurate transaction-wise but he put a hell of alot of effort elswhere. It depends on whats important to you. If you want rosters with players on all the real teams as of 5/16/2002 go with mine.If you want more accurate salaries, player splits, etc. go with grimosw. We both put in the work but Rolen is most responsible for these rosters. Enjoy!

Thanks for the input Ghostface... do you know if grimosw's is also an update to Rolen's roster set or did he create his own from scratch? I think I'm looking more at the accurate stats and some what accurate rosters (if a couple players are not on a team which they're supposed to is no big deal to me). I'm just looking for the set that has the most accurate stats.
another big question for the Cleveland Indians is D.Baez a Starter or he still in the pen? thanks again!!!!!!!!!! |

to answer your question, grimosw's is also an update of rolens.
baez is there, but i'm not sure where he's inittially placed, but like ghostface said.. if he is at A, AA, AAA, major league rotation or bullpen, the computer manager (or if you're controlling the team, then you must make the simple click-drag-drop changes) will shuffle players around their organizations to give them the most competitive club.

Your welcome. Check your other post. I replied to it. But, in short Baez was changed to a SP and he is at the top of Clevelands rotation (matter of fact he has become a star SP in my career league). But yes from what it sounds like I think you probably would gain more satisfaction from using Grimosw. Although as far as stats go Rolen implemented all 2001 stats into the original roster set. Grimosw did the 2001 splits, contract updates and whatever else his read me says. So, I'm saying, Rolen's accurate stats are in both.

Just clarification the split I entered were 3 year averages based on 600 ABs, not just 2001 splits.
