Changing to a draft

My plan for my historical league from the begining was to replay up to 2006 then starting in 2007 change over and start having an amatuer draft with fictional players. Well I am to 2007 and it will not let me check the box to have an amatuer draft now.

I was wondering if that is just the way it works or if I am not doing somethng in order to let it happen. Any help is appreciated

You can only make the change during the offseason, but maybe not right after the season ended. You may have to sim ahead alittle in order for the "offseason" to kick in. So in order to have a draft in 2007, you need to make the change a few weeks after the 2006 season has ended

I did that...I first simmed a few weeks ahead, and it wouldn't let me, then I simmed to the beginning of 2007 and it still won't let me...oh well..I'll try goin ahead a little bit further.

Ok, I thought the change could be made during the offseason, but it has to be made in the preaseason. I just created a test league, and had to sim to the preseason to make it work. I was able to make the change on February 15th, which was the first day of the preseason. So for your league, make the change on around 2/15/07 or whenever the preseason starts for your league (dates may be slightly different for your league and my test league)
