High School Feeder League
Is it possible to set up a high-school feeder league on its own, without it actually feeding into other leagues? I grew up in Colorado and I thought it would be fun to set up the Colorado 5A Prep system and manage my alma mater, Northglenn High School.

I don't think you can. I do not understand the issue with it feeding into other leagues though. If you are worried about it polluting your major league, couldn't you just set up a dummy league for it to feed into, and not allow that league to sign or have free agents leave? Then you could see how the players do after you are done managing them.

Absolutely. Just set up your HS feeder league without any other leagues and you have your desired setup. It won't be feeding anything so the players should get released when the age requirement is up and retired soon after. Hope this answers your question.

Here is how I did it, just to see how one would go about setting up a league like this.
1. Create league as a normal fictional league. Select your structure, name your teams and so on. Then select High School from the drop down. 2. The rules tab: Set max age to 18, Roster size to the size of your choosing, Disable the expanded roster rule, waivers, trading, draft, and financials. 3. The options tab: set created player age min and max (I used 15 and 18), disable spring training, and set the schedule length. After all this, you should have a workable high school only league. If I left anything out just make adjustments.

You ought to make the max age 19, for those poor guys who started kindergarten late.

For some reason the max age allows for +1. Set it to 18 and you allow 19 year olds to play in the league. So this is a bit confusing.

If I'm not mistaken, the age limits are enforced right at the beginning of the off-season, so yes, everyone will be turning 19 in their final season (or even in the off/pre-season before).
