Question about Scouting

I've done a brief search but couldn't find the answer.

Does your head scout re-scout the entire league including the minors every Jan 1st?

Not unless you tell him to (IIRC). SISA (SI Scouting Association) does do it every January 1st, though.

As far as I know, the only time your head scout does a complete scout of everyone is when you start a new job. In any universe of a reasonable size (e.g. Majors and full Minors), it's impossible for your head scout to have up-to-date reports on every player- scouting the Majors alone takes almost a year. So you may need to use the other five scouts if you want to keep track of everyone. SISA scouts every league annually; just be aware that SISA reports are often inaccurate...

your head scout re-scouts your team automatically every month.

Don't forget you can also tell your head scout to do a quick scout on any player you want. I don't know how accurate they are compared to a full scout but its better then nothing.

My experience has been that quickscouts are more optimistic than full scouts, but they are definitely better than nothing.

I've actually seen quick-scouts be both more and less optimistic, but usually not to far off from an actual scouting report.
