This is the official sign-up thread for reader-created players for 'The Upper Canadian Gentlemens Baseball Association' dynasty thread.

Here's how it will work:

Create your player and I will add him to the list below. Simply fill out the information below - making sure to fill in all the needed info - and when the time comes, your player will be among the pool of players debuting.

One note: The player's age at debut will play a role in how developed he is. Since there is no minors here (at least for the time being), it may be a while before your player gets any playing time unless he's lights out. As the league moves along there may be opportunities for expansion and what not but as of right now, it'll be rare to have your guy right in the fray.

Another note: I will be 'implanting' your info on top of one of the game-created players to keep things simple.

I "may" add historical leagues such as the NA, the NL, AA, PL, and UA as we move through the 19th century. If so, there will of course be a lot more opportunities for folks to get their player in.

For amount of players I dont' really have a limit in moderation. Aka dont' sign up twenty folks for one year, you'll have a lot of scrubs. This may change in the future.

SKILL 1: You should elect to give your player his main 'strength' or skill - the thing the scouts love most about his game. You can choose from the following for Skill 1:

HITTERS - Contact, Gap Power, Homerun Power, Eye/Discipline or Avoid K's
PITCHERS - Stuff, Control or Movement

SKILL 2: This is the secondary skill, something else that makes your player special:
HITTERS: Running Speed, Stealing Bases, Baserunning Instincts, Bunting Ability, Defensive Skill, Arm Strength
PITCHERS: Velocity, Endurance, Ability to Hold Runners close, Groundball/Flyball pitcher, Defense, Good hitter

For Pitchers, you can also designate a dominant pitch if you want to specifiy what your guy's 'out pitch' is.

EDIT: A note for player creators. First we're starting in 1861. Deadball will be alive and well for the next 60 years. Build your player with this in mind.
EDIT #2: If your player is American based and is signed on before 1866, be advised that he won't be able to play due to the leagues policy reflecting the government view on the American Civil War. You cna still sign your player up, but most likely he'll be fighting the good fight for the Union (or Dixie, depending on where he's from)
