Very sad - such a young age. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Look at his similarity scores by age.

I am sick to my stomach.

Cardinal Nation mourns the loss of another pitching tragedy.

Prayers with those who love him.

I found it odd that the 2 pitching deaths to hit StL recently were both directly preceding games vs. the Cubs.

RIP. Way too young.

I think he meant the "Through age 28" one. Cory Lidle is #10.

Ahh.

I dunno. Lidle and Hancock don't seem to have had similar careers at all except for the sad detail of early demise.

Yeah, I was thinking that was the only reason he was there, but they don't even have his death up on B-R.com yet.

Sad day today.

Anyone read the thing about Tim Hudson? His grandma died today and so did Hancock, who was his teammate at Auburn and a good friend.

Lidle's was shown live on Major News Networks besides ESPN,ESPNEWS.
It was more serious then this one because his Plane ran into a Building.
The game has been cancelled tonight.

Dieing in a plane crash is more serious than dieing in a car crash? I think they both result in death, and that's a terrible thing. He had a good career and passed way too soon.

RIP

You, me, and everyone else knows exactly why a plane crashing into a NYC building got more initial press than a car crash.
