Spot starters?

Could someone explain how to get this option to work. No matter what setting I choose the spot stater is never started. The only exception is if one of the rotation pitchers is injured. I tried changing the % use from 0 to 99 and nothing. Any help would be great.

The spot starter has a chance of starting when the last pitcher in your rotation's spot comes up. Then, the game uses the % listed to determine if your spot starter will start instead. If your endurances are such that the last pitcher in your rotation never has a turn to pitch, then the spot starter in turn won't ever pitch.

That's if he's got his pitching rotation set to Start Highest Rested Starter instead of Strict Order, correct?

Right. If he's on strict rotation, then that last spot will come up regardless of how tired (or not) the other pitchers are.

So, if it is strict order, would the spot starter never start?

He should still start in place of the bottom starter. The game gives him an X% chance to start, where X is the % chance you enter.
