More Personnel?

I am finishing up the second year of my first league. Will there ever be more quality personnel available?

I'm ending up re-signing all my same coaches and scouts since the available personnel are so lousy. It seems like it would be more realistic (and fun) if there were some quality people available and I had to make some choices.

Will this change at some point? (Is it just because I'm only a couple years into sim'ing?)

Well, it may not for a while. So, you may want to sign on as a commissioner (or temporarily assign commissioner privileges to your manager in Manager Options) and go to Available Personnel and Create Fictional Personnel. You can go into the Coach Profile for these new personnel and edit their ratings, jazzing them up a bit. You can do this for managers, scouts, or doctors. You have to be in commissioner mode to do so, however.

You can also go into the personel screen from the league pull down menu. Under available personel, then from there you can create whatever you want that can go into a general pool.

But I am in the process of running a long time fictional sim to get some history before I run a team.

From this menu I can see that there are quite a few qualified people at every position. I did not think to check this in the early stages, but it looks like down the line it might even out.

Of the 61 scouts available, at least the first 10 or so are pretty good quality. Of the managers available (11) the top two are MLB worthy and about 6 or so for minors.

(Looking through some of the teams, the top two managers should have a job already, especially for the Phillies)

I also find, that in Commissioner mode, you can create new coaches, which often gives you fairly good staff to choose from without having to modify the actual ratings.
