Minor League Lineups
Does a players place in the batting order of the minors affect his developement? I have a CF and C in A level, both have talents rated good for average and ks, brilliant for walks. the C is brilliant for HR, the CF average. The AI puts the CF at 3rd and the C at cleanup, but the CF has A/A for speed and steals, and with the high OBP he'll hopefully have i'd want him to bat leadoff in the bigs. I would assume that the order either has no effect on development, or batting lead-off would result in less power but more walks than batting third..
How exactly does this work? |

My thoughts on the matter are kinda simple:
Get your best players as many at bats as you can. Lineups with speed and obp on top or power in the middle does not count for much. |

Well i shift betwwen thinking that and thinking the more traditional way... but still the questiong about player development in the minors stands.. it would be cool if you could tailor the way a player turns out like that

It doesn't really matter to think the traditional way, becuas there are no minor league standings.

A-M, I have wondered the same thing. If I only have one player in A ball, the computer will put him at #3 if he has any power whatsoever. If the guy isn't that hot a prospect, though, he will end up being placed a little lower in the B.O. Now, that could easily just be the logic Markus programmed into the Auto-lineup function.
