pitcher's arm falling off

OK....I know from another thread that too many innings on a young P can impact his development, as in real life. My question is...how much is too much? I've got a 21 yr old ace in his first big league year. I'm trying to keep him under 180 innings. Is this OK, or still too much, in your opinion. I'm not sure if it's a single year impact, or all or nothing or a sliding scale.

There is no magic number in the game, and IRL no one has one. Generally, too many pitches in an inning/game are what to care about, rather than innings. I'd add a pitch count for all pitchers under 24 years old, capped at about 110. (And pay attention to successive games with 100+ pitches.)
