ratings problem

I was messing around and created an absolute stud lead-off man to see how many bases he could steal in a year.

I gave him 225/250 speed; 210/250 base-stealing and 235/250 base running skills and put him as a 17-year-old in die the 1920 draft with real players.

The first full season he played, he stole something like 127 bases (in 1922), but the next two seasons he stole on 2 en 3 each (I simmed three years at a time).

I went back to his ratings and they were all below 30 (on the 250 scale). He was 22 after year 3 BTW.

I checked and he had no real injuries. I changed the ratings back and exactly the same thing happened at the end of season 4. I changed it back and it happened again after season 5.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug that I should take to the technical forum?

Their must be something resetting him back at the end of the year. It could be his potential is driving it back down.

Turn off development. The game is probably adjusting his ratings to his age and putting him on a normal development curve to get to 250 when he's "supposed to".

He might have gotten a talent boost to put him over 255, which then cycles around back to 1. (I think this is the way it works.)

if this is the case, it is a MAJOR bug. Imagine Barry Bonds hitting 73 then 2 the next season. Ugh.
