failure to import

a while back i spent about 8 hours trying to import 1958 as an historical league. Finally Rasnell was good enough to walk me thru the steps and i discovered that somehow the Stats file was not named correctly and could not be imported. I spent so much time on it and it was so fresh in my mind that i failed to make a note of the problem. Now i am trying to import another year and i have the same problem. the game does not recognize the path or the file. any help on this. In the meantime i am going to reDL the lahman file because maybe i failed to set it up correctly.

Once again the problem is only in the early stages of step 1. for some reason the file is not able to be recognized even tho i have it named as C:/Stats

let me also point out that i did eventually import the 1958 league successfully. also i have vista and that may be setting up the STATS folder under a different type of folder.

Can you elaborate on the problem and what the solution was for others that come across the same problem?
