Haven't Played OOTP since Version 5

And I'm considering buying the new version.

Before, it was a lot of work to import the real MLB current rosters, park data/images and team logos.

I see a ton of stuff posted in the mod forum, but much of it seems like latin to me. IS it any easier to import real stadium and player data?

Thanks!

I would say yes. All you have to do is d/l a roster file and just unzip it into your game folder. the picutres and parks are also just as easy.

I also hadn't played any thing after OOTP5. Importing seems to be a little easier in this version.

There are 2 things I can't seem to figure out though. I downloaded Gambo's historical facepack and most of the pics are wonderful, but i have found a few that I would like to change. I found new pics for the players I wanted and figured all I would have to do is delete the old pic and rename the new pic, but for some reason it still loads the old pic even though it has been deleted. Does the game save the pic in another spot besides in the "photo" folder that I have to delete to get the new pic in?

My other issue I have ran into is when I go to import stadium photos I import the day stadium and lets me move the player's positions around to fit better in my photo, but when I go to the night picture it accepts the pic but I can't get a sample to show up so I can move the player's positions around to fit in the photo. Is there a way to show the night pic and adjust the positions atfer I have imported the day time photo?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My experience is that you have to exit the game and reload to see the new photo.

And there's a button to assign your revised player locations to all ballparks. It works.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

There's two photos folders that I found when I was doing this - one in the main data file and one in the saved game data file.

I'm not at home so apologies if the paths are not 100% accurate. One is under Sports Interactive/ootp2007/data/photos and one is under Sports Interactive/ootp2007/data/saved games/name of saved game/photos.

Hope that helps

With 2006, you could just load another league and then reload your current league and it would work. Haven't tried that in 2007, though.

I have tried this and it would still bring up the old pic, that is the reason I asked if it was saved in another folder.

I found the photo folder under data and have removed that pic. I don't have a folder under saved games though. I have looked through different paths and have only found the 1 photo folder. Does anyone else happen to know where the other photo folder is located?

It might be that I'm misremembering. I know a lot of the folders were duplicated twice for logos, caps and jerseys etc. Maybe photos wasn't.

Having a quick look at the pdf manual, it states:

31.1. Where are Photos Stored?
If you have installed OOPTB in the default directory, all player and coach photos are stored in the following
directory:
\data\saved_games\Test1.lg\news\html\images
In this case, “Test1.lg” is the name of your game universe.

Edge is correct. You want to take the photo out of the \data\saved_games\YourLeague\news\html\images folder

Thanks, that's where it was. I was looking for another folder named Photos, didn't even look in the Images folder.

I have something else that I can't quite figure out, sorry it goes off topic. I am importing stadium pics for my teams of both night and day photos. I import the day photo and adjust the players on the sampl field to the right, but when I import the night photo it doesn't bring up a new sample photo, the day photo sample just stays. It wouldn't be that big of a deal except some of the photos from night are different angles and shots than the day photos.

That might work just as well, but since I only play with one league I would never know that.
