How do you develop your players?
Like, I needed a 4 and 5 starter, so I decided to take some 5 star potential guys and use them. Problem is, they were 1 star overall. Now, after half a season and losing records & ugly stats, one is only 3 star potential and the other dropped all the way to 1 star.
But besides that, I just notice I have a lot of good potential players and was wondering how to speed up their development. What is the way to do it? |

I am no expert, but I find with player development it is best to leave guys in the minors. It seems to me that most players dont reach their full potential if they are brought up too far before their 25th birthday.

Yeah, bringing an unready player to the majors is a bad idea. They can actually lose potential if you leave them up there for too long, as you demonstrated.
I don't know of any tricks to speeding up development. Just keep them in the minors, make sure they are getting playing time, and if you use coaches, put your best minor league managers where your best prospects are. |
