Minor League Coaches

All of my minor league coaches have ratings below 10 for pretty much everything. I worry that these low ratings are harming my prospects' development.

I am guessing that's probably not true however.

The basic question: what's a "good" coach rating for your minor league teams?

Also, what purpose do your minor league scouts play, if any, assuming you are managing the big-league team?

Good question. I'd like to know too.

Well, low-rated mgrs can definitely harm your players, compared to high-rated ones, although the effect probably isn't profound.

Minor league scouts work just like major league ones.

Given that it's basically impossible to find a manager/coach with a rating above 9/10 in any area (Batting, Pitching, Rookies) who will agree to coach in the Minor Leagues, the question would be: are those ratings sufficient to keep prospects moving forward?

What is an appropriate rating for Minor League coaches?

Well, I don't think there are any particular numbers, per se. As long as your minor league coaches are comparable to your opponents', then you're doing what you can. But, if you've skimped and your coaches are the bottom of the barrel, you need to keep an eye out for a chance to upgrade!

Do coaches develop too? Will my coaching staff get better as they gain more experience?

Should I just read the manual?

Supposedly, personnel do improve over time, but I can't say I've noticed it.
