** crash ** failing to load when Simulating Seasons

I've tried this about 10 times and I get the same result.

I am trying to sim to gain some history in a Fictional league

I start in 1901

I start simming... and when I get into the 1920's everything is okay... then I save the game...

come back and the save game will not load. It gets to the "FINALIZING" portion of the game boot up.... but then it just sits there. soon after 1-2 min or so... the game does not respond and I have to shut down.

I'm running a Great CPU with 2core duo processors 2gig ram... Its not a system problem.

any suggestions... I know there is a LOT of number crunching for a full league, but this is what OOTP is all about and I'm really excited to get along, but I'm so frustrated that the game keeps crashing when all I'm doing is simming....

Hey buddy, try this please and let me know what happens. I may have an idea to help you out. After you've saved your league make a back up copy, then close out. Two steps now i want you to try. Load the game from continue game button. What happens ? Second step if you had the same problem. Load the game from the Load game button. What happens. What i am hoping to see is of which is causing the game to hang; the continue league or the load league option.

Ashyr, are you still having trouble with this? If so, are you having trouble with leagues simmed fewer years?
