Cannot load pre-patch leagues

I tried to load the "Default" league as well as a freshly-downloaded version of an online league, and got this message:

In the online context, I installed OOTP on another computer and tried to download the latest league file from our test online league at FOBL. The latest file was created with a post-patch version on my other computer. When I tried to load it, I got the above error.

I thought the patch was not going to affect old saved leagues. How does this affect online leagues where new owners join after a patch and can't load a league file that isn't the original file?

I copied over the .lg folder from my other laptop and it loaded just fine. Why does the downloaded .lg folder uploaded to the server by OOTP not work?

I may have figured this out. I'll post again if my proposed fix doesn't work.

Fixed. I had turned off the "Include 'names.dat'" option. Please close the thread.
