Box Score: Total Bases Vs RBI's

What happend to the old box scores that showed the RBI's for that game and the total RBI's next to them in parenthesis? Now just like last years version we have total bases in the box score and i don't know about anyone else but that to me is a useless stat to put in a box score.....If pujols hits 2 homeruns and has 7 RBI's i don't want to see how many total bases he has, i want to see that he has:

RBI's: Pujols 7 (56) in stead of

Total Bases: Pujols 8

Thats just my 2 cents about that

Total bases are a standard inclusion in most modern box-scores, though:

Interesting. Our local paper, which takes its box scores from the Associated Press wire, lists rbis for the game, but not the season. It doesn't list total bases at all.

In a text paragraph below the team totals it does list errors, doubles, triples, homers, stolen bases, caught stealing, and in parentheses after each the season totals for the players who had them.

After that it lists passed balls, balks, wild pitches, sac bunts and sac hits, but no season totals for those.

That is true it does list those but it also lists the RBI's and the total for the year right below them......just curious how hard it would be to add that to the game?.....to me it just adds more to the box score

I don't understand the question about box scores.

In the top section, there's a column for RBIs in the game and in the right side, there are columns for total home runs and RBIs.

In the picture below, E. Davis had 2 RBIs in the game and a total of 40 for the season.

Look at the link from the prevs post that shows a box score from MLB.com and you will see what i mean....its under the total bases...or even look at a box score from ootp 6.5 there in there as well, just not sure why they were taken out

Yeah, but since the season totals for avg, HR, and RBI are already shown on the box score in OOTP, why would you want it repeated.

Its kind of a waste of space IMO

Waste of space? The game is freaking gigantic theres no way that would be a wast of space. All im saying is why was it taken out of the game, when it did just fine in version 6.5....I mean if were going to talk about wast of space i think that total bases are a waste of space.

What I meant by "waste of space" was, Why duplicate information? If the season toal RBI are already listed in the box score, why list it again? Makes perfect sense to me. I don't see why you fail to grasp that.

So you're saying you would rather have Season total RBI listed TWICE and not have Total bases listed at all? Not a compelling argument there.

I'd rather have RBI for the game, total RBI season-to-date, RBI last year in total, RBI last year through the same date, RBI in the past 10 games, and RBI with runners in scoring position listed all on one line, twice, before listing a waste of space stat like total bases.
