Positional History chart (in game)

I have not checked the almanac/html output version of this but in-game this is what it looks like for me (see attached screenshot).

If others are not getting this result it could be related to short season play, where the logic for this screen is hard coded to expect 162 possible games played at each position. Note that my pitching rotation history works, although it shows the top 5 SP's even in a turn of the century league with 3 man rotations.

Pretty sure that had been fixed, apparently it's creeped back. I get it with the korean & taiwanese leagues, but not with an pre-expansion MLB style league.

It shows the proper names until preseason starts.

Could it be a timing issue? As in, if I looked at that page at a certain time of year it would display properly? Seriously, I could swear I've looked at this screen before in v2007 and saw the correct positional history info. I could just be thinking of the old Catobase days though .

For your Korean & Taiwanese leagues - are they short season by any chance?

Edit: Okay, I misunderstood - you say "It shows the proper names until preseason starts." That means it is a timing issue right?

Sort of. As you can see by the screen shot, the first one is in the off season, displays properly. The second one is the same league, a month later, in pre-season. Doesn't display properly anymore.

Can't quite figure out the rhyme or reason that causes this. I did a test.

Here's the league setups. (No major league, independent minor leagues)
All are 2 league, 1 division each, with 4 teams each (8 teams total), All starting on same day in April

AAA - 144 game season, problem occurs.
AA, short season, 140 game season, problem occurs.
AA, 142 game season, problem does NOT occur
R, 64 game season, problem occurs.
R, short season, 76 game season, problem does NOT occur.

So length of season doesn't seem to do it.
Short season/not short season doesn't seem to do it.
League Level doesn't seem to do it.

Did you guys turn off fielding stats for the leagues showing this behavior? If so, the game can't keep track of how many games a player played at a given position in a given year.

I think this is the answer - I just tried 5 more seasons with stats on and I see the right positional info again, thanks Nutlaw .
