Still not fixed - Minor League Lineup/Rotation problem :(
Hello,
I was so excited to see that the bug where the AI changed your lineups & rotations in the Minor Leagues was fixed (Bug # 2994). I couldn't wait to try the patch out and finally be able to manage a minor league team properly. But, Alas - it is still a problem. I changed both my lineups (LH+DH & RH+DH) and my pitching rotation and after simming a week it was all changed by the AI. Very frustrating. I really want to play the game, but as a Minor League manager it is not worth it with this bug. And to wait another six weeks would be very frustrating. Don't get me wrong, you have put out what seems to be a great product, but this bug just happens to make it unplayable for me. Thanks, Jason Last edited by jasonm; 04-06-2007 at 11:25 AM. |

In the Manager Options page, what do you have your "Minor League Lineups/Depth/Pitching" option set to? If it is set to "Minor League Managers", then they will override your lineups and depth charts. If you are the manager of a minor league, what do you have your "Setting Lineups/Depth/Pitching Staff" option to?
Are you the actual manager of your team, or are you in commissioner mode and "Acting As" the manager? If you are "Acting As", the AI will likely override your lineups and depth charts. Last edited by Nutlaw; 04-06-2007 at 11:36 AM. |

Under "Team Control Settings" I have "Setting Lineups/Depth/Pitching Staff" set to my name not Manager (Computer AI).
Below is a screenshot that has the details from the Manager Options screen. |

Could the AI be responding to roster moves not under your control? It's going to redo the lineups every time there's a roster change if you're not micromanaging it on a daily basis.

Jason check the play as commish box for a sec. and see if your name appears in the minor league categories under the one of which you speak.

I will try the one suggestion when I get home...
This is how crazy it is - I set my lineups/rotations for Opening Day and even see my starting pitcher (& his picture) for the 1st game on the League schedule screen my opening day starter. I then simmed a week and when I checked the 1st box score, he didn't even start the opening game! It changed my rotation before the 1st game was even played. So the theory of lineup changes out of my control when there is a roster change isn't true. Very frustrating when it changes your lineup for the 1st game of the year. Thanks, Jason |

Jason, we didn't hear back from you on Tycobbler's suggestion for some time. I am closing this thread for now, but if you continue to have trouble, please don't hesitate to ask a moderator to re-open this thread.
