Keep getting removed as GM
Ok this just started happening recently...these past two years I have been removed as the GM of the Red Sox. First year I lost in the world series so I figured maybe I got fired by the owner for losing? Went back in as comissioner, applied as Boston GM, turned off Boston AI roster changes, etc.
Then this season I won the world series and at the end of the season yet again I was removed as GM...what is going on? |

It might be a bug. You should check the Tech Support forum and report it. Maybe there's already something in there and it is being worked on.

Okay, my question is, why don't you want to play in commissioner mode? This isn't directed specifically at Football23, but I've just read through thirty threads, and in six or seven of them whatever problem was being posted about wouldn't've happened if the thread starter had just been in commissioner mode. I've never NOT been in commissioner mode. Why does everyone seem to be so attracted to playing as a non-commissioner?

Yeah, that is the answer to stop getting fired, change to commissioner's mode...the problem with that (which was reported in the Technical Issues) is that if you're in commish mode, you or the rest of league seems to longer have to adhere to the salary cap or owner's budget..so you could have a $500,000,000 payroll and be $450,000,000 in the negative and it wouldn't matter...The game isn't much challenge when you can sign all the best free agents on your team. I know, I know, just don't sign them and force yourself to stick to the budget, but then the AI can go over the budget. Mind you, they won't go $450,000,000 over the budget, but I've seen a couple teams that were $5,000,000 in the hole. So its kind of a personal preference until this issue is resolved.

Is it you ... or the rest of the league. This makes a BIG difference to me, as if it's just me, well .. I can play in commish mode - and well, I can follow my league rules myself. Now if it's the whole league, then - that's a big problem. |
