traded-for player disappears into void
On March 10, I traded for a starting pitching prospect named Mark Larson. As of March 13, his own page insists that he is on my major-league roster -- however, he is _not_ on my major-league roster, or indeed on the roster of my organization at all. Can I get him back from whatever dimension he's in?

Go look at him, right click and assign him somewhere else in your organization (such as triple A, since he's supposedly on your big league roster). See if that brings him back....
there was something in 2006 where players would disappear into the void, think it was the setting to not allow the AI to do anything with rosters... but don't remember.

That bug in 2006 has been fixed in 2007. Are you sure that he didn't go onto the AAA roster? Do you have DFA enabled and did you pull down the menu in your team roster view to see the DFA list?

Sounds good - thanks. However - this is spring training, so when I tried it, the computer wouldn't let me - "He has to be on 40-man roster". If I waive him, would that help? If so, can I get him back? (I do have access to Commissioner Mode, if that matters.)

Probably one like it, since I have that option selected for my league and don't have any problems.

As I said, he wasn't in the organization at all, not AAA, not DFA ... however. The two of you combined to help me figure out what to do. I went into Commissioner Mode and changed Larson's Team to my AAA squad. Then I "promoted" him to the active roster and: there he is! Thanks!

I've had it happen to me - the player profile will claim he's on the MLB roster, but he's not.
Just reassign him AGAIN to the MLB roster and he'll reappear. It's an annoying glitch, but not unfixable in-game. |

So yeah. My version was easy to fix with Commissioner Mode, at least. This kind of stuff, and name/nickname changes, are the 2 reasons I always play in C.M. |
