Game Crashed While Saving

So I was simming a fictional league to get some stats. It was the year 2012 and the game seemed to crash while saving player photos. Now everytime I try to load the game it gets stuck at 93% and it says loading player photos. While it is obvious that the photos file is probably corrupt because of the crash, is there anything I can do to get the game working again? Or is all lost?

It isn't a HUGE deal because it was just for fun. But, I hope there is a way to fix this.

Could you give us more detail concerning your system, etc?

amd 3200+ athlon 64
1 gig of RAM
128MB 6600 Geforce GT pci-e graphics card
dfi lanparty motherboard
xp professional sp 2

I am not sure why it crashed, this is the first time that my game has ever crashed since release, and it has been running great. In fact I ran a sim from 1901 to 2006 yesterday with no problems. Maybe if I delete the photo file and see if it will load? I'll try and keep you posted.

good news! I was able to delete the faces.dat file and it let me load the game. I then just regenerated the faces. Sure, I don't get the same faces, but it sure beats losing everything.
