Facegen Workaround

In the past you could install OOTP on two computers. I had to use the opportunity because i have at home a desktop PC but have often only my laptop. On my laptop i can not use Facegen because of the limit abilities of the video chip. But while playing with the demo i have found an interesting workaround. After updating the driver on my home PC Facegen worked. When i copy the league to my laptop and start then here OOTP the player pcitures will be shown.

I do nont know how aging and other aspects will be handled but i have to move my league form on pc to the other from time to time and USB sticks costs only some Euros today.

The only issue you will probably run into is when the facegen pictures are updated. The game may crash on the laptop since it does not meet the requirements. However, if you only have the game update pictures on the desktop and turn it off while on the laptop you should be fine.

I have seen that you can set up update of pictures to the start of a new year. Then the game will not try to change the picture during the season.

Precisely. I would just recommend not simming past Jan 1 on the "bad video card" computer.

You're playing around with fire here a bit, so I recommend saving/backing up regularly.

Meanwhile, thanks for this information. I'll move this to closed issues for now, since you don't actually have a technical support issue.

Thanks!
