Game crashed after expansion draft

I simmed three seasons with default MLB layout (fictional players). Then I added a Japanese League and simmed a season. Then I planned an expansion for the MLB league, adding a Portland and Las Vegas team to the AL West and I moved Texas to the AL Central. The expansion draft took place on 11/20/2010 (seemingly successful), then it crashed. All of this was being quick simmed.

EDIT: I'm on the PC version and I'm attempting to recreate this now.

Let me know if you can re-create this. It'll help Markus if he knows it's reproducible.

Please track exact steps up until crash, if you are able to reproduce. Thanks!

shoot, I had the same general problem (very different league setup though), and I didn't think to report it.

All I can remember that was out of the ordinary was that I did all the expansion stuff before the year flipped over - that seemed to be the wrong way to do it . . .

I did everything exactly the same and it did not crash.

The only thing I can think of that might be different is that the playoffs went longer this time and the draft happened a few days later and didn't happen at the same time as an event in the Japan league. This is just a guess though.

Hmmm.

Well, it's GOOD that it didn't crash, right Cap'n?

Meanwhile, if this does happen again, please hang onto the .dat files from that league, and post a new issue for us.

You don't happen to have a copy of the crashed league from before the crash, do you?

ps Personally, I would always recommend doing a backup before any expansion or major league alteration...

Thanks,

Steve

We have a rule in Tech Support that says that requests that have gone more than 3 days awaiting a response from the customer will be closed. This thread fits that bill, so I'm going to go ahead and marked this issue as "closed."

If you disagree, please let us know, it's no problem to re-open this. It's an administrative thing we do to try to ensure that only active issues are being researched.

Thanks very much!
